General Information for Parents in Year 4

P.E.

Both classes will have P.E on a Monday afternoon and Thursday morning. Please make sure that your child's P.E kits are clean and ready to use on these days. If your child wears earrings, they must be removed before school on P.E days. If this isn't possible, we request that you tape your child's ears before school and remove the tape at the end of the day. Teachers are not able to administer the tape on your behalf.

If your child has a verruca, please let your class teacher know. It is school policy that if your child is well enough to come to school then they are well enough to participate in the P.E lessons.

Our cloakroom areas can become quite crowded with bags, coats and uniform. Please help us to keep it tidy and to cut down the lost property by using small bags, labelling everything and only bringing in essentials. Let us know if anything goes missing, we'll do our best to help you find it.

 Forest School

Please make sure that your children have appropriate clothing as we will be going out in all weathers.

Reading Homework

All children are expected to ready at least five times a week for at least 15 minutes. The children need to record their reading on Seesaw and complete the VIPERS reading question.

Please note that during the current Covid-19 situation, the school is currently not accepting any visitors to the school to help with reading.

Children will receive a bronze medal for completing at least five reads in a week. This is the only homework set each week.

Our main aim is that children become readers because they love reading and sharing books with adults and their friends. Sharing lots of books at home is important. Good readers become good writers.
